The storm left over 3 million homes without power. We lost power around 1am and got it back at 5pm. PSNH, our power company, estimates that it will take a week to restore power to all the homes it serves. The schools are closed and the high school is being used as a shelter.

We have a few trees that broke from the weight of the wet snow in our yard. In spite of the damage, the snow did look beautiful.

I had an exquisite opportunity to walk around and in the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, formerly known as Victoria Terminus. It is a UNESCO World Heritage site and is still a functioning main rail terminal in Mumbai.

My visit was during off peak hours, but the crowd was similar to NY rush hour! I didn’t dare to stay until the peak hour… I didn’t have the time (at least that is my excuse ;-) )
