Thank you for visiting my website. This website shows my work as an amateur photographer. I may also blog on other varying subjects.
Enjoy your stay. While you are here, I would appreciate any comments you have or just say ‘Hi!’.
Cheers,
Prashant Thumma

I am from the USA, and my background as, I have been told is German, although I don’t know if we have actually traced the family history back that far. I stumbled across other Verizon employees and contractors with the same last name in India a couple years ago and was intrigued.
Almost all the Thumma’s I have found in the US can be traced back to central Pennsylvania. Now here I see it popping up regularly in a completely different culture and it, frankly, doesn’t look to be indigineous to India. Do you know the origins of the Thumma name in India?
Hi Geoff,
Thanks for visiting the site. I know that one of my cousins did a family tree of Telugu (Andhra Pradesh, India) Thummas. From what I remember it goes before the Portuguese came to India. I recall that Thummas are a subset of the Reddys.
In Telugu, Thumma means Babul tree.

Hi, Prashant. I saw your link on the MCC website and wanted to take a peek. Very nice images, and I love the layout you chose – very clean and navigable. I may ask you to take a look at mine before I publish it, that is, when I get enough time to put it together.
